Pastor Kimpi
Pastor Kimpi is a refugee from Burma. Pastor Kimpi is a man of many talents. He plays on our worship team and leads a Burmese service at 12:30 every Sunday. Pastor Kimpi has been a part of our church since 2014. Email Kimpi at office@obcwaterloo.com
Brian and Tish Jacobsen
Brian serves Open Bible as one of our Board member. They have attended Open Bible for almost 20 years! His wife Tish is also the head of our Preschool/DayCare Sonrise Christian School. Tish and Brian both work in our Kids & Youth Church. Email Brian at office@obcwaterloo.com
Butch and Dianna Brown
Butch serves at Open Bible as one of our Board member. Butch and Dianna have attended Open Bible Church since the 70’s. Butch and Dianna serve as greeters and Dianna helps out in our Everyday Superheroes Kids ministry. Email Butch at office@obcwaterloo.com
Susan Vance
Susan Vance has lived in the Cedar Valley all of her life. She has served as a Board Member and Bookeeper of the church since 2017. Susan started attending after she brought her Grandson, Dominic, to a Trunk or Treat. She has been a part of our church since 2014. Email Susan at office@obcwaterloo.com

What to Expect
To better assist our visitors, the following is what you’ll experience during our Services:
- Relaxed and “casual” atmosphere, come dressed as you are
- Corporate worship through the singing of contemporary worship songs.
- Teaching and preaching from the Bible, reinforcing Biblical truths
- A call to action at the end of every service.
Open Bible Church is a multi-generational multi-cultural church. It is a friendly and inviting atmosphere that encourages you to come as you are. We are a small church that has a focus on special needs outreach. We have a place for both families and individuals in the special needs community.
When you walk in you will see signage that directs you to where you need to go. Our Sanctuary is up the main stairs and has free coffee available in the lobby with a sitting area. We have a nursery /cry room that is located downstairs in our children’s area. Babies infant-2 years old can go there.
Our service time runs for 90 minutes. We have an opening and then worship. Our Worship is contemporary. We are strongly focused on creating a setting that makes it easy to worship but has a volume that works for those who have sensory issues. After worship the kids are dismissed for kids church.
Our messages generally run around 40 minutes in length and end with a call to respond to the message. We place great emphasis on biblically based messages. Our goal is that every message points to Jesus and we are compelled to leave the service more like Him.
After service feel free to stick around and meet the pastor. The kids can be picked up after service in our gymnasium. On Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m. we also have a discipleship class that goes over all the aspects of what we believe.
It is our desire that people are given the opportunity to plug in to what God is doing. We believe that God has a specific purpose for everyone’s life. We know you’ll find Open Bible Church welcoming and hope you join us at making an impact in the Cedar Valley.
